Anticipation Grows for Seahawks Showdown

As anticipation grows by the hour for this weekend’s upcoming Super Bowl (have you heard?) between the Seahawks and the Denver Broncos, the number of Seahawks related events, discounts, and souvenirs seem to be popping up at an equally alarming rate. Even the freshly fallen snow has barely distracted stoked Seattleites.

The Woodland Park Zoo has most diverse group of Seahawks fans we’ve ever seen! They come in all shapes, sizes, and species:

The 12th man flag is flown high by this fellow bird supporter. The Zoo has plenty of team spirit with admission discounts for those in Seahawks gear and a cutout of Misawa the giraffe dubbed the #Tallest12 Seahawks fans can pose with just outside the gates. For more information visit the Woodland Park Zoo’s blog.

The game will be televised by CBS at 3:20PM PT. Catch the game at one of Fremont’s sports bars:

Fremont Dock Sports Bar– It’s even got “Fremont” AND “Sports” in the name! This classic establishment reopened its doors just in time for the Super Bowl last year and was immediately pouring the pints and feeding the fans. This year should be even bigger and better with the Hawks on the field.

The Red Door- A neighborhood staple. The pub on the corner will be serving brunch from 10-1 before the game and continue the food and drink specials all day long. They have multiple TVs as well as a large projection screen.

LTD Bar & Grill– Don’t even question it. LTD is a full on sports bar and the Super Bowl should be quite the holiday there. They’ve got the screens, the beer, the bar and probably plenty of fans for the occasion. They’ll be opening at noon Sunday.

Other bars with multiple TVs in Fremont:

Woodsky’s– You can accompany your Super Bowl with a shotski!

Nectar Lounge– Nectar is hosting a special Super Bowl Viewing Party event with food, drink specials, and no cover. Sounds like they’re going the whole nine yards!

The George & Dragon- A solid bar to sit and enjoy a full sized pint with very few bad seats in the house. The only downside is they may be showing the other kind of football…

The Ballroom– From dance party to giant pizzas the Ballroom likes to have all its bases covered and the Super Bowl is no exception they announced on their Facebook page that they’ve teamed up with Uber to offer customers 12% off their trip to or from the bar Sunday.

Norm’s Eatery and Alehouse (Dog-friendly!)- The perfect place to root for the Hawks with your canine fan!

The Dubliner– A  tribute to the belief that beer and sports, no matter the sport, belong together. Dubliner will be serving the pints and offering up free pool on game day.

9 Million in Unmarked Bills– Experience the Super Bowl with a prohibition twist. 9 Million loves to pour a classy cocktail for their customers and they’re big fans of Seahawks spirit to boot!

However you can expect that nearly every TV will be tuned to the game so find a good seat,  hunker down and watch the Super Bowl Fremont style. Don’t forget the Fremont Market will still be taking place this Sunday from 10am until 5pm (approx.) if you need a break from the festitivies!

So Fremonsters where will you be for the game? Let us know below!
