Car Theft In Fremont Reminder To Be Careful

Michelle writes in to let us know of a car theft that occurred Tuesday night. Unfortunately, it was her own.

I live in Fremont and parked in front of the Burke Building on N 34th St last night.  When I got to my car this morning to go to work, I found my front passenger window smashed in.  Nothing was stolen – there was nothing of value to steal – just some random bits from the center console rifled through and strewn about.  It’s doubtful anyone saw anything but I just wanted to give a heads up to you and the other Fremontsters … perhaps people can keep their eyes peeled and report (and hopefully prevent) any similar break-ins from happening.
There were also recent car thefts on the 800 block of 40th St. (12/31) and on the 300 block of 44th St. (12/31). Just a friendly reminder to keep valuables out of your car if you’re parking on the street.
