The space across the street from Peet’s Coffee on 34th Street has been vacant ever since Baja Fresh closed up shop back in March of 2009. In recent months there’s been some work done on the space and today the new tenant announced their impending arrival.
No word yet on the official start date but we’ll keep you posted.
The arrival of Key Bank creates a pseudo Bank District now on the corner of 34th and Fremont. Next door is Frontier Bank, which will soon be changing it’s name to Union Bank.

Update: Key Bank sent over some information on the impending new site in Fremont. The location is part of a company-wide initiative to build 20 new branches in Greater Seattle through 2012. The estimated grand opening date is March 14th, 2011. A branch is also expected to open in Wallingford on May 16th.
