About the Classes:
Come explore the art of dance in a playful, stimulating, and supportive environment! Children develop creativity, physical fitness, and movement intelligence while building their classroom etiquette and interpersonal skills. Lessons include movement games, exciting music, instruments, and other fun props. Anne Green Gilbert’s Concept-Based Creative Dance Curriculum underscores these classes, and lessons include creative exploration of dance concepts as well as traditional dance technique (when appropriate).
About Miranda:
Miranda Swan Veenhuysen has been teaching dance to children in the Seattle area since January 2009. She holds a BA from the University of California, Santa Cruz where she majored in Theater Arts with a dual-emphasis in Dance and Drama. She has been studying, creating, and performing in these two areas since she was a child. She believes whole-heartedly in Ms. Gilbert's unique curriculum and in the power and value of dance education for children. She loves to teach and strives to convey her love of dance to all her students.
