The Sweet Spot in Fremont is once again collecting new and gently used coats to donate to the International Rescue Committee a non-profit which provides emergency relief, lifesaving care and aids in the resettlement of refuges forced to flee their homes and countries due to war or disaster.

They are also donating to Jubilee Women’s Center, which supports women experiencing poverty to build stable and fulfilling futures by providing safe, affordable and supportive community housing and educational resources to empower each woman to become financially independent, regardless of her circumstances.

Sweet Spot writes:

Help make a difference this year! For each CLEAN, NEW OR GENTLY USED WINTER COAT for Men, Women & Children donated, we will award ONE raffle ticket (up to 10 tickets) to be entered in a raffle for wonderful prizes from generous local businesses and our amazing vendors! For our Third Annual Coat Drive we have partnered with our friends at VAIN to benefit the The International Rescue Committee & Jubilee Women’s Center.  This year y’all have the luxury of dropping off your coats at any location!  VAIN has locations in Ballard, Downtown, and West Seattle and of course The Sweet Spot is in Fremont.

Coats can be donated until Saturday, November 7th. Sweet Spot is at 3507 Evanston Ave N. Call 206-632-3602 with questions.
