Prowler on Dayton Ave

This took place or on Dayton Ave, between 44th and 45th on December 24th:

Last night I took [my dog] outside around 2am and caught a prowler dressed in all black coming down the driveway between the 2 townhouses across the street! He tried to hide against the fence and I pretended not to see him. Once back inside I called the police even though I knew he would be long gone. It was an incredibly scary experience.

I know this is old, but I'm at 41st and Fremont Ave, and there have been 2 incidents of strangers skulking around our building lately. One knocked a neighbor's door pretending to have the wrong place, but she said he was clearly trying to peer around her to see inside. Recently 2 guys were on the 2nd floor just poking around before a neighbor asked them who they were looking for, at which point they left. I guess everyone needs to be more vigilant. Poor formerly-sleepy Fremont. :/

We had a break in this past Friday between 3 and 5pm. We are on the same block next to the town houses. The police have us very low priority although we have a lot more info a few days later. If anyone sees anything strange tell Office T. Jones at the North Precinct!

We also had a garage break-in, on Monday March 4th, same block. This also happened 1 year ago, and we and our neighbors have had things stolen both times. Our apartment manager reported it to the police. I hope they will start doing something about it because this seems to be happening more and more in our beloved neighborhood!
