Fremont Health Club Coming To Inspire Community

By Sean Keeley · February 16th, 2012 · 6 Comments

Fremont Health Club manager Ria Steele wants to make it clear what the priority of Fremont’s newest fitness space will be.

“We’re not here to build beefcakes, we’re here to build health.”

Fremont Health Club will commence building health in the coming weeks when it officially opens in the space recently-left by Anytime Fitness (3601 Fremont Avenue North).

Steele says that the new, independently-owned fitness club wants to bring something different to Fremont. As a Fremonster herself, she envisions FHC as a place that’s accessible, inspiring and about the community.

The club will feature a dedicated kids club room and specialized parent-child classes that make going to the gym with your kids easy and fun. Instructors will offer various classes such as yoga, African dance, Zumba and more.

Steele is also extremely excited about the impending arrival of top of the line Matrix equipment complete with Virtual Active programming, which give you the opportunity to work with virtual trainers and simulated landscapes as you work out.

At the moment, the gym is still a few weeks away from opening. However, in the meantime they’re offering the first 400 members who sign up a $19.95/month deal. To find out more about the facilities, call 206-632-2200.

    Thanks Sean!
Just wanted to add that folks can keep track of the haps at the FHC by friending us on Facebook: “Fremont Health-Club”, where we’ve posted some videos of the new space, the amazing equipment & even our first contest to win a prize so check it out!
Love you Center of the Universe!

Worst video ever. Is that supposed to make us want to join? It is a slow motion tour of an empty building? W.T.F.

Anytime Fitness used to be here but they moved to a much nice location on 34th right near the Patches statue. I recommend everybody check out Anytime Fitness instead. It’s much nicer.

“folks can keep track of the haps”

Wow there’s some Negative Nancies on here, but I for one am excited being someone who lives closer to this location… I’d much rather give myself a reason to go to the gym instead of an excuse to get out of it because it’s to far. I’m sadly at the stage where I need as close as humanly possible! There are many options in the “Center of the Universe,” but I think I’m going to try this one. If we’re all about mom & pops here, then we should really support anyone who comes into our neighborhood. =)
