Update: MyBallard has the details on what happened. Two bank robbers caused the disturbance and both have been apprehended.

Original: 2:00pm – You should steer clear of the Aurora Bridge right now. Police have closed the southbound lane “due to SWAT activity.”

According to a Seattle PD tweet, “SWAT activity in the 2400 block of Aurora Av N. N and S bound Aurora traffic impacts. More details of incident later.”

That helicopter you hear overhead is likely related. More details as we get them. In the meantime, the traffic delays are impacting Fremont Ave. as well so avoid it if you can.
