You’re invited to get to know your area police officers this weekend at the annual “Picnic at the North Precinct” (10049 College Way N.)

The department will be showing off their high-tech gadgets, like the remote-controlled bomb squad robots, as well as giving tours of the precinct. There will be free food, dancing, entertainment and activities for kids.

From SPD:

The Picnic at the Precinct events first began in 2004 and are sponsored by the Seattle Police Foundation and local businesses. Picnic at the Precinct events provide an opportunity for the business and residential communities in the precinct geographical boundaries to come together and enjoy a day to meet and interact with their local officers in a fun environment.

The free event runs from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 9th.
