Rocket Apartments Going Bye-Bye

By Sean Keeley · April 7th, 2011 · 6 Comments

The Rocket Apartments, a collection of one-story apartment buildings built in the 1940’s on Evanston Ave., have seen better days. Now it looks like they won’t be seeing many more days at all.

The apartments have apparently all been vacated.

According to minutes from a Fremont Neighborhood Council meeting last August, developer Brian Regan discussed plans for a hotel at 35th and Evanston, which would be the site of the Rocket Apartments. Regan is the developer of the Fremont Space Building.

We’ll know more about the specific plans when they’re discussed at a Land Use Committee meeting on Thursday, April 14, 10am at History House.

Update: Brian checks in to let us know the plan doesn’t involve a hotel but the Evanston Space Project.
