Fremont Retailers Donating Proceeds To B.F. Day School

The Ballard News-Tribune has an article up today on Fremont retailers and their very special night tomorrow night. As you know, every Thursday in December is a big shopping night in Fremont, with tons of retailers offering deals and special events. This Thursday, December 9th, however, might be the most important of all. Proceeds raised by all participating retailers will go to support Fremont’s own B.F. Day School.

Fremont Chamber of Commerce invites holiday shoppers to shop for a cause on Thursday, Dec 9. Fifteen Fremont merchants will donate a percentage of their sales from Thursday evening to B.F. Day School, the oldest Elementary School in Seattle.

“Merchants decided on B.F. Day School because it’s local and it’s the longest continuously-run school in Seattle,” said Jessica Vets from the Fremont Chamber of Commerce.

You can find the full list of participating Fremont retailers here. If you were planning on spending some money locally on gifts this holiday season, this might just be the best time to do it.
