Man attacks bar patrons with broken glass

By Doug Alder · August 31st, 2010 · 6 Comments

A fight inside a Fremont bar left several people with cuts after a man broke a bottle or glass and attacked them with it.  It happened just after midnight this past Saturday (8/28) at a bar (the name is redacted in the police report) in the 300 block of N 36th Street.

Police say the attacker got into a physical altercation with some people inside the bar, and then used the bottle or glass to hit multiple victims.  Some of the injured were taken to the hospital.  Officers arrested the suspect, who had been placed in a choke hold by security until police arrived.

It was at “Sinners & Saints.” I got back home late Saturday night and saw the ambulance and lights, then walked over to check it out. At least one guy was bleeding profusely out of his forehead, the guy I asked said there had been a fight. Broken bottles makes sense considering the condition of the guy.

Another reason to avoid the area on Friday and Saturday nights. Fremont is starting to turn into another Belltown.

Another Belltown? Come on… Belltown has all sorts of bad elements on the streets on any given night. This was just a bar fight that was most likely started by one meat-head who had a few too many drinks from the bar. Fremont is in no way like Belltown and hopefully never will be.

There are far too many idiots out on Friday and Saturday nights.

This did not take place at Sinners and Saints it happened at LTD. There has never been a fight inside Sinners and Saints since the day we opened in May of last year.
