Sinbad Express (3526 Fremont Place N) opened their doors for business last Wednesday. A look at the menu board shows they offer both vegetarian and meat sandwiches, as well as plate lunches and dinners. Prices start at $5 for a sandwich and go up to $10.99 for a kafta plate.
(This picture was taken a few days before they opened.)
The restaurant is from the same family that owns Aladdin’s Gyrocery in the U-District. Let us know if you give it a try!

Tried it yesterday afternoon (Monday April 5th).
We both had a lamb-beef gyro sandwich. They have a different sauce that I am not used to on gyros, gave it a little spice. It was tasty, hit the spot and we'll go back.
Not as good as Mr. Gyro up Greenwood (I have yet to find a better gyro) but more convenient.

They seem to put a lot of pepper-like seasoning, and that makes the gyro spicier I think. Perhaps a bit dryer than I am used to as well, probably due to the lack of tomato. I will see next time if there are options. The Döner kebab (similar to gyro) that I am used to, usually starts with the basics, with add-ons usually an option. It was very busy at lunch time when I went there on a weekday, so I hope they do well.
I too will go back for the convenience…

This is a great addition to the Fremont food scene. Lots of vegetarian options, reasonably cheap, and fresh ingredients. They cook most things to order, so it can take up to 10 minutes or so for some orders to appear. Be prepared to wait a bit, but the wait is well worth it.

Doesn't Hummus have two M's?

Looks like shawerma and humus are written in Turkish? Can't wait to visit.

Had a lamb gyro yesterday. Bread was fresh, sandwich was overall tasty. I plan to go back and try the falafel!
