GS_logo_webA new acupuncture clinic in Fremont is hoping to make treatments more affordable and accessible by letting people pay what they can.  Grassroots Community Acupuncture (418 N. 35th St) will offer acupuncture treatments at a sliding scale of $15-$35 per visit by doing sessions in a group setting.  Owner and acupuncturist Marit Hanson says it makes it easier for people to get the care they need at a price they can afford.

My clinic has 8 cozy recliners that people come and relax in while getting treated, and they can stay as long as they need, whether that is 30 minutes or a couple of hours.  Most people fall asleep, and I liken the experience to adult nap time with acupuncture!

There will be a grand opening and open house at Grassroots Community Acupuncture this Sunday, January 17, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Marit is doing free acupuncture treatments for anyone who wants to try the group setting.  Hot cider and Theo Chocolate will also be on hand.  The clinic is located in the ground floor of the Planet Earth Yoga Center across from Theo Chocolate.  Regular hours will be as follows:

  • Tuesday  10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Wednesday  3 p.m. to 7 p.m
  • Thursday  10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Friday  3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

For more information call 206-659-4990 or email Marit at marit@grassrootswellness.com.
