A new lunch spot to open soon

By Geeky Swedes · August 7th, 2009 · 10 Comments

A new little eatery is about to open at Stone Way & 34th Ave N.

This is a shot from Google Maps of the building. The Speedy Reedy, shown here, has moved 75 yards from their old location. Mike emailed us to say that the new place called “Solsticio” will serve breakfast, lunch and smoothies. He spoke with the owner, who was busy getting the place ready to open and says, “She hopes to cater to the neighborhood lunch crowds in addition to the hungry and thirsty bicyclists and walkers on the trail.” (Thanks Mike for the tip!)

Yea! I am looking forward to having a nice cool drink or something yummy for my tummy. Good location and this should be very successful.

Right next to Nola - fantastic new salon that opened this summer in the same building. http://nolaseattle.com/

That spot seems to be cursed. I hope the new owners can break it!

If you exit this building after eating your treats, make sure you look both ways before stepping back out onto the Burke. No need to cause any accidents…

hopefully they will serve smoothies made from fresh fruits and vegetables and not that powdered supplement crap that the other “smoothie” place tries to pawn off as healthy drinks…

Sol-STISS-ee-yo or Sol-STEES-ee-yo? I peered in the windows, and the space looks like it will be pretty neat. I wish the new business owners all the best, but can't help but blech @ the name of the place….

i know, the name would be better suited to a condo development or some sort of pharmasudical.
