Scenes from ‘Night Out’ parties in Fremont

By Geeky Swedes · August 4th, 2009 · 3 Comments

We drove around the neighborhood and shot a few photos of the “Night Out Against Crime” block parties in Fremont.

This is 48th and Evanston, which is in a neighborhood sometimes known as “SoZoo” (South of the Zoo), as one neighbor told us.

Kids used shovels and brooms to search for buried treasure.

Down the street at 45th and Evanston, neighbors (including Mike O’Brien, who’s running for city council), enjoyed good conversation and BBQ.

And Fremont residents gathered in front of new Hazel Heights P-Patch under construction at 42nd and NW Baker. Do you have a photo to share? Send it to us at tips@fremontuniverse.com.
