Most nights there isn’t a long wait even if you want a floor spot, where you can sit and enjoy your meal on mats.
The menu is wonderful, the crab ragoon is perfect, the red curry with steamed rice is good although not always consistent with how much bamboo shoots they put in.
This is one of our favorite Fremont restaurants and always satisfies our curry cravings. The staff is super friendly and the low-lit ambiance is nice to relax and unwind in.
It is a lot different (and in our opinion a lot better) than the Cap Hill location.

Are these guys really healthy thai? I remember the ads from about 2 years go when they really pushed that they were a healthy restuarant.

Their food is okay, but I really wish they had more veg-friendly options. And although they jot down my instructions (no fish sauce, no oyster sauce, no shrimp paste), I always kind of wonder if they followed them.
Other Thai places (Chantanee, Typhoon) are much more trustworthy in accomodating vegetarian requests. If Jai Thai would make more of an effort, I would eat there more often. As it is, I’d rather get food from somewhere else so I can KNOW that it’s vegetarian.

I like Jai Thai because they are one of those Thai places that does not put so much sugar in the food that your fingers, utensils, everything around you becomes sticky.
If you like your Thai food without all that sugar you will like Jai Thai.

My girlfriend and I went to dinner here a while back, late in the evening. The restaurant was pretty empty, save a few customers. The environment is authentic and simple. The menu is extensive with more traditional Thai items and some for the more adventurous. Our food was amazing. Best peanut sauce in the city!

Jai Thai is not what it was 2 years ago. I frequent many Thai restaurants in Seattle, and this one has definitely gone from the ‘good’ category, to the ‘thanks, but I’ll pass’ category. It obviously has new owners and the food has been solidly subpar the two times I’ve eaten there in the past 6 months. I was invited as someone else’s guest these last two times, and I vividly recall being thankful that I didn’t have to pay for food that was barely edible.

I disagree with the last comment… I really like Jai Thai. The one that used to be in Bell Town (now closed) was really horrible, so I wasn't too quick to try this one. But I did try it and I liked it! I would go here again. I recommend the Pad Kee Mao.

I probably go to Jai Thai once every 2 weeks or so. I've never once had bad service in my over 3 years of going there. Sure sometimes an item can be hit or miss, but I think that can happen at any restaurant. The servers are always nice and are never not smiling. I can honestly say I've never left unsatisfied with my food or service.

We eat here often; food is always satisfying. If you order spicy it will be SPICY - as in it burns your tongue just putting it in your mouth - but the flavor is still there, and that’s a good thing. Beef satay is very good, and portions aren’t HUGE. Also, the mango sticky rice in the summer months is one of my favorite desserts ever. Sometimes service is a little light - they often seem short on servers, but we love to walk down to this place, get a window seat, and watch the action on the street as we eat yummy food.
