I really wish El Camino were better. Although the Margaritas are excellent, the food is only okay, and everything is overpriced. I’ve been there several times and was disappointed each time. I will mention that I have only tried the vegetarian dishes, but in Fremont you would expect every place to have decent veggie dishes.

Everything here is overpriced. $8 for a basket of chips is ridiculous. Food is decent. Worth it? Nah.

My husbad and I have been going to El Camino since we moved to Fremont 12 years ago.
The food is GREAT. Steak tacos, salmon entree, the mussels. AND the margaritas. If money is tight, go during happy hours! There is a great veggie quesadilla and the chips and guacamole are cheaper. We hope they never leave!

The best mexican food in Seattle! Tostones with guacamole and salsa fresca are the best we had ever had! El Camino is authentic and if you are looking for free chips and canned salsa, this is not the place. Go to a TexMex place for free chips. All their food is hand made and awsome. You would not be disappointed if you know what good mexican food is. The service is excellent and Brooke is broke! (comment above) They don’t have corn chips here they have plantain chips which are so much better. If you are a connoisseur go to El Camino if not, go to the so called “authentic mexican restaurants” for a huge plate of beans with jack cheese. El Camino has house made desserts, their chocolate mousse cake is to died for as well as their flan, lemon tart and pastel de tres leches. Prices are for people who are willing to pay for food that is just delicious and not fattening. We love El Camino!
