Goose knocks out power in Fremont

Updated: Power has been restored to about 4,000 customers in Fremont and Wallingford. A Seattle City Light spokesman tells the Seattle Times that a goose that came into contact with a main electrical line. “If the wing span of a bird sitting on the line is long enough, it can spark an outage,” Peter Clarke says. The affected homes were between 39th St. to 53rd. and from I-5 to 3rd Ave.
