Discount wine shop opens in Fremont

By Geeky Swedes · November 3rd, 2008 · Comments

A new wine shop, Fremont Wine Warehouse has opened next door to Anytime Fitness and the Asteroid Cafe (map). All the wines are priced under $25.

The owner, Michael Cawdrey, ran a wine shop in the same building 5 years ago. He says his new shop is focused on finding great, undervalued wines that are priced lower than the supermarkets.

Fremont Wine Warehouse will have an open house next Saturday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., with Wind River Cellars visiting from 3-6 p.m. It’s open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m.

The owner is really friendly. The store carries two types of Barbera, while I can only find one in the entire selection at Trader Joe's. It's worth a look!
