Fremont traffic signals to be recoordinated

By Geeky Swedes · October 28th, 2008 · Comments

The traffic in Fremont can be a nightmare. Especially during rush hour traffic. According to Brian Kemper, who is the traffic signal operations manager, the 13 stoplights in the neighborhood will be recoordinated at the end of this month. Crews will monitor the changes and make adjustments if needed. Tom Creegan brought up the traffic mess in this week’s “Getting There” article in the PI.

I sure hope they fix the zoo exit at 46th and 99. I avoid that light during rush hour if at all possible. People don't seem to understand the concept of not blocking the intersection.

I agree w/ the gal - slowing down Leary would be nice

it'd be nice to see them resequence the lights on 46th between the intersection at 46th and greenlake way up to 46th and fremont. seems like westbound traffic on 46th always gets the shortest light in heavy traffic.

Just as long as they don't make an attempt to speed up traffic on Leary up into Ballard. They have already torn out crosswalks and the cars go way too fast. Leary is not a freeway, it's a residential street. Slow the traffic down!
